Barrie D’Rozario Murphy Advertising OfficeMinneapolis, MN
This quickly growing new advertising agency chose to open their new offices in the historic Wyman Building in downtown Minneapolis, in the heart of the Warehouse District and the creative industry in the Twin Cities. The building, originally built to sell and trade textiles, features tall ceilings with beautifully plastered barrel vaults. Their brief to us was to leave the space as open as possible revealing the structure of the ceiling and to allow flexibility for future growth and change. They wanted an office that was light and airy with a view of the outside from all points in the space.
Perimeter enclosed offices and conference rooms allow daylight to filter into the core of the space through a precisely assembled wall of steel and glass. High level clear plate glass continuously reveals the beautiful vaulted ceiling while lower areas of solid framed walls and sections of glass shift between clear transparency and obscured translucency through an application of lenticular film. The degree of privacy of the offices changes depending on your position within the space. In contrast, the presence of the beautiful ceiling structure and abundant daylight is constant.
